Why should someone stop by Cal Coast Brewing<\/a><\/strong> after a day of wine tasting? Rich Clayton, owner of Cal Coast, explains. \u201cIt’s bigger than beer. Cal Coast Beer Company is a place where everyone in your party will find something they enjoy. We restored a 1950’s auto garage just blocks from the famous downtown Paso Robles Park. Here you will find craft beer, cocktails, local wines, wood fired BBQ and live entertainment weekly. We have 3 separate buildings that offer three distinct vibes on our Cal Coast Campus. The brewhouse holds our production facility and is home to beer club parties, Nashville concerts and community fundraisers. The Den (a play on a bear den and the den from the 1970’s), our 70’s inspired lounge, hosts bingo nights, trivia, live music duos and themed parties. Patina, our event space, hosts private parties and ticketed events like dueling pianos, live athletic events and comedy shows.  Our vibe, live entertainment, expansive outdoor area and proximity to the downtown park make Cal Coast Beer a must stop when the wineries close.\u201d<\/em> Or even before.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A throwback to the speakeasy days of Paso Robles is Eleven Twenty-Two<\/strong> Cocktail Lounge<\/strong><\/a> <\/strong>with a Great Gatsby vibe of the 1930s. The speakeasy is tucked alongside the back patio of Pappy McGregor\u2019s, a casual eatery, on 13th<\/sup> Street. Once inside Pappy\u2019s, guests must walk through the restaurant, exit out the rear patio, turn left, and press the doorbell only once. Wait for a hostess to answer the door to admit you to this intimate, exclusive lounge and enjoy. Stephanie Barker, local resident, can\u2019t wait to return. \u201cWe stood in line and the hostess let only a small number of people inside, so the lounge is very exclusive with only 30 guests. Music was played, the lighting was dim and conversation was hushed. Waiters stopped by our booth with a glass cart of cocktails and took our drink order. The room is intimate so the bar is close and we could see the bartender make unique cocktails with shakers, torches and interesting ingredients. This is a real find right here in Paso Robles,\u201d<\/em> Barker added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Light at Sensorio<\/a> <\/strong>offers a walk-through sensory experience within acres and acres of vineyards and brilliant views like no other. It features four light installations by internationally acclaimed artist Bruce Munro. Field of Light<\/em> is a multi-acre walking experience that recently expanded to more than 100,000 stemmed spheres lit by fiber optics, \u201cilluminating the landscape in subtle blooms of color\u201d<\/em> that reflect the gently rolling landscape. Light Towers<\/em> installation is a celebration of Paso Robles\u2019 wine country and features 69 towers of more than 17,000 wine bottles illuminated with glowing fiber optics moving to music. Gone Fishing<\/em> and Fireflies, <\/em>the newest exhibits, are found in a small valley next to Light Towers<\/em>. Solar powered, they \u201cinvite visitors to engage with the landscape and environment through an ethereal light based and sculptural experience.\u201d<\/em> It\u2019s no surprise that The New York Times deemed Light at Sensorio as #6 in their list of \u201c52 Places to Visit in 2020.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n
