These days, there are top-notch wineries making serious Sekt and we are lucky enough to be able to get it here! <\/span><strong><a rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.winesellersltd.com\/wine-brand\/Fitz-Ritter.html\" target=\"_blank\">Fitz Ritter<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in the Pfalz region is one such top-notch producer. Their <span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><a style=\"color: #ff9900;\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.winetraveler.com\/grape\/riesling\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Riesling<\/strong><\/a><\/span> Extra Trocken Sekt NV is bright with citric acidity and lush with honey and ginger spice.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;\"><b><a name=\"us\"><\/a>The U.S.<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Throughout the U.S. there are a vast array of Sparkling Wine styles being made that don\u2019t fit into one mold, so here are a few different versions to seek out:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><a rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/casanelvineyards.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Casanel<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in the Loudoun County area of <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.winetraveler.com\/virginia\/virginia-wine-country-region\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Virginia<\/strong><\/a> makes <em>White Spark<\/em>, which is 100% Estate Chardonnay made in the Methode Champenoise. It\u2019s crisp and dry with notes of green apple and orange blossom.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/gruetwinery.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Gruet<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is a New Mexico-based winery that has been producing Champagne-method wines for 25 vintages! Their Brut Rose is made with 100% Pinot Noir and has popping flavors of strawberry, cherry and zesty lemon.&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sparklingpointe.com\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Sparkling Pointe<\/strong><\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in the <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.winetraveler.com\/new-york\/north-fork-long-island-itinerary-best-wineries-hotels-restaurants\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>North Fork of Long Island<\/strong><\/a> is another U.S. winery making Methode Champenoise bubbles. Their 2010 Brut Seduction is layered in nuance. Made with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, it ages for 8 years on its lees giving it toasty and nutty notes and an ultra-creamy mouthfeel.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;\"><b><a name=\"espumante\"><\/a>Espumante<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Portugal\u2019s answer to Sparkling Wine<\/strong> can be made throughout Portugal, but quality Espumante can only be made in <em><strong>DOC Bairrada<\/strong><\/em>, located just South of <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.winetraveler.com\/portugal\/vinho-verde-wine\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Vinho Verde<\/strong><\/a>.
