The Pinot Noir from this region, favored by the cool-climate, stands out with its intricate balance of ripe fruit and acidity, often revealing flavors of cherries, raspberries, and distinct earthy undertones. The Chardonnay, similarly benefitting from the cool climate, is vibrant and crisp, usually exhibiting notes of green apple, citrus, and occasionally a hint of oak. Moreover, Anderson Valley has gained a reputation for its Alsace varietals. Pioneering winemakers in the area have successfully cultivated grapes typically grown in the Alsace region of France, including the aromatic and spicy Gewürztraminer. These offerings highlight the unique and impressive versatility of the Anderson Valley’s viticulture.

What Anderson Valley winery hotels should I stay at?

While Anderson Valley itself is primarily known for its wineries rather than vineyard accommodations, there are a number of charming stays in the vicinity that can enrich your wine-tasting trip.
